i AM TRYING TO GET ACCUSTOMED TO USING MY BLOG  LET ME  GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN

Thanksging

I am looking toward Thanksgiving  -- the holiday that gives us family, friends and food.  Some people are bothered by politics, but that is all over for months for most of  us. Many will join the hustle and bustle of shopping,  a pain I plan to leave for those who enjoy it.

Donald Trump Wins Presidency

About 2:30 this morning enough victories convinced everyone that Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton and is president - elect.

Trump responded by promising to begin now putting people to work.  The Republicnas retained control of the Senate and the House and would .be able to go to work  the first of January.

I laid out a economic prorgam, including tax cuts, several years ago. No, I am not fool enough to believe I have influence, but it was fun.

I have decided to observe my 90th birthday with  relatives and  friends Saturday,  August 24

A try at my blog

I have neglected my blog for weeks and was not certain I would ever re-activate it but I am giving it another try.  The presidential campaign has sickened me. My decision is to try again.

News sources and reporters are most to blame.  Instead of explainging the effects each candidate will hurt or help the economy, the candidate is called on to use obscene and and foolish words, the candidates are forced to be silly,  vulgar and shameful.

This nation is in trouble, at home  and at sea.  Instead of helping the economy by expanding the production of coal, oil  and gas, the nation  handicaps their production.  We must eliminate unneeded rules and encourage

small industry to grow and provide jobs.

All over the world innocent people are tortured and killed. while our only response is no: troops on the ground,  that was not the way we responded in World war 2.

Mozambique is the destination

Would you and your family serve as missionaries to Mozambique, one of the poorest nations in the world?

David McCormick, with his wife and two children left this week to serve three years in the seventh   poorest

nation the world has.   David has been active in Grace Memorial Metrhodist Church  for several  years;  He

was a youth leader at Christ before that.

I know he can use financial help in this worthwhile  project.

Conventions fail u

The national conventions to choose candidates for president are near the end as I write.    have stayed silent for two reasons --the conventions have failed to produce solutions to three problems -- safety of the nation, jobs for workers and health care we can afford.  My health problems is the third reason.

The Democrats have ignored ISIS even though terrorist attacks continue.  Neither they nor the Republicans know how to improve the economy and ordinary citizens face health costs they cannot meet.

I may be unable or unwilling to propose measures to address the problems  but I will stay  informed..
